Microsoft Patches Maximum-Severity Flaw in Entra ID Service

Microsoft has addressed a critical security vulnerability discovered within its Entra ID identity management platform. The flaw received the highest possible severity rating of 10, which means it could have allowed attackers to execute code remotely.

The tech giant confirmed that a patch was deployed before the formal Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) entry was released to the public. Microsoft reported finding no evidence that attackers had discovered or exploited the issue prior to the fix.

Centralized software and identity systems remain complex environments prone to critical vulnerabilities. For digital asset users, the ongoing risk of software exploits underscores the value of self-custody and keeping private keys stored securely offline.
