The analysis, carried out by content detection service Originality.ai, evaluated more than 2,000 titles across various subcategories. Among the genres reviewed, books on witchcraft showed the highest proportion of suspected automated writing, standing at 78%.
The surge in automated text underscores growing challenges around authenticity and authorship in online marketplaces, illustrating how easily unverified digital material can proliferate.
